Achieving Cyberspace Superiority

Supporting the National Security Strategy

On February 23, 2012, AFCEA NOVA is again pleased to bring you the 10th Annual Air Force IT Day which will be held at the Tyson’s Corner Sheraton Premier. As at previous AF IT Day conferences, this program will offer you an outstanding opportunity to learn first hand about the difficult challenges facing our Air Force and how IT capabilities can play a major role in meeting those challenges. Once again we have lined up a power packed program of speakers who will tell you what’s happening in Air Force IT today and the vision for the future.

This is a rare opportunity for you to hear first hand from distinguished Air Force leaders about their vision for the future, the shortfalls of their current capabilities, cyberspace warfare directions and requirements, their plans for executing the cyberspace mission, emerging technologies they need, their acquisition strategies, and specific programs of direct interest to IT professionals.

As an added bonus, the program will include a panel of distinguished requirements experts from across the Air Force including Air Force Space Command, the Electronics Systems Center, the Air Staff, and the Air Force Office of Acquisition. It just doesn’t get any better than that.

The recently published DoD National Strategy will have a major influence on the direction of future Air Force initiatives and programs aimed at improving war fighter capabilities while achieving greater efficiencies and effectiveness. Our distinguished speakers will give you important insights into:

  • The distinctive Air Force capabilities needed to meet the challenges of a global force
  • The changes necessary to improve efficiency while retaining and growing our combat power, flexibility, agility, and global reach
  • The growing cyber threat and the capabilities needed to meet and defeat that threat
  • The tools, techniques and procedures necessary to maintain our superior global networking capabilities
  • The contributions of the Guard and Reserves in the fight for information dominance
  • Organizational changes being implemented to strengthen and sustain modern IT capabilities
  • How new technologies such as cloud computing, social media, etc can lead to improvements in meeting the rapidly changing threat

If you are an industry executive, business developer, sales and marketing manager, technical design specialist, or just someone who wants to learn more about Air Force IT requirements and applications, then Air Force IT Day is for you. This one day event is chocked full of valuable information that will help you understand the needs of the Air Force, where you can help, and how this can help grow your business. Mark your calendars and register now for this powerhouse day. It well be well worth your time and provide a solid return on your investment.
