Summer Internship Program

The AFCEA NOVA Summer Internship program is a pilot program aimed at encouraging graduating high school seniors to pursue Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) education through a summer internship with local companies.Students will be selected for the internship based on academic and extracurricular merits, as well as their interest in pursuing a degree in science or technology. Each winner will be offered a 10-week summer job (June – August 2013) with a sponsoring company.

The sponsoring companies improve morale by demonstrating to employees their commitment to the community. They also benefit from employing top-notch local students, who may later join their company.  Most importantly, we all gain by helping America’s youth develop an appreciation and desire to pursue a scientific or technical career.
