Multi-Domain Command and Control: The Future of Combined Arms in the Information Age
Forging a Military/Industry Partnership for Innovation

AFCEA NOVA is proud to host our 15th Annual Air Force IT Day on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the Sheraton Tysons Hotel.  This one-day conference provides an unparalleled opportunity to hear from and meet senior military and civilian leaders from:

  • OSD, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands and DoD Agencies
  • USAF Headquarters to include the SAF/A6-CIO
  • DoD and USAF/PEO Acquisition
These influential leaders will come together to address the following relevant topics:
  • DoD’s Third Offset and efforts to spur innovation and drive procurement into the Information Age
  • CSAF Vision of Multi-Domain Command and Control as the “Connective Tissue” of Joint Warfighting
  • CSAF’s Focus Area of Strengthening Joint Leaders and Teams, Communications Squadron Next
  • Air Force Information Dominance Vision and Flight Plan
  • DODIN OPS, Joint Information Environment (JIE) and Future of IT Modernization
  • Cybersecurity, C2 of IT Services, Data Center Consolidation, Application Rationalization
  • Understanding Cyber Terrain and IT Support of the Warfighter
  • Upcoming RFPs and new opportunities for industry
  • Trends in cloud migration, mobility, architecture, automation, data analysis and so much more!

This event also provides an opportunity for Small Businesses that is unequalled in the NCR. Participating Small Businesses are invited to present their capabilities to other firms, both Large and Small, in a dedicated networking session that will include representatives from government Small Business Offices. And as an AFCEA NOVA exclusive, select participating firms will be offered an opportunity to showcase their innovative solutions to DoD and USAF senior leadership in our first-ever IT Day Innovation Expo.
Join us on 13 December to engage with these senior Air Force and Joint leaders as they share their insights into current issues, priorities, philosophies, directives and goals that are driving warfighter information systems planning, acquisition, and sustainment. This is an outstanding opportunity to personally meet these senior Defense leaders and to "plant the seeds" for future visits to their staffs.
Given today’s strategic and budgetary challenges and the ever-increasing pace of technological innovation, the 15th Annual AFCEA NOVA USAF IT Day is a must-attend conference.

Small Business Networking Session

If you are a large business with a need for the capabilities a small business can provide, or a small business currently doing business with the Air Force, then you absolutely need to be at AFCEA NOVA's Air Force IT Day Small Business Networking Session.

This networking session allows you to present your capabilities in an informal setting. We recommend bringing a current capability statement, and plenty of business cards.

Transitioning Government/Military

AFCEA NOVA is reaching out to help our transitioning Active Duty Military and Government Civilians into the civilian sector! If you or someone you know is on the transition track, and part of what we will discuss is timing, (ie, it can’t be too soon to start!), come to our table set up in the networking area and we will have our experts there to talk to you about transitioning, do resume reviews, and discuss any of your questions!
